No boat licence is required, although you must be 21 years or over to operate a houseboat in New South Wales.
Location
The Tweed River is located at the southern end of the Gold Coast of Australia.
For those that may be flying in, we are located only 10 minutes away from the Gold Coast Airport.
You can spend a couple of days at the Tweed Marina onboard your houseboat and walk into Coolangatta for shopping, ride a wave or two, or experience the night life before heading out to explore the Tweed River.

Our large 12 berth houseboats are the only houseboats that you can hire on the Tweed River with walk-around decks. Great for fishing and giving you that extra room.
Houseboat "Tweed Princess": is the only houseboat on the Tweed River with a spa bath on the upper deck. Timber polished floors, large bedrooms and a great entertaining upper deck and powered by twin motors – a very popular houseboat.
Houseboat "Island Dream" is the only houseboat on the Tweed River with six bedrooms and two bathrooms. No one needs to sleep in the lounge.
This houseboat is great for those large groups or a couple of families.
